Advanced Obedience Course Description
Advanced obedience covers practical application of obedience commands in everyday situations and polishing your dog's obedience skill in the pursuit of off leash control. Your dog will learn to listen to you under stronger, harder to resist distractions while off its leash. This class is for owners who spend lots of time with their pets and want proper control over their dog in any situation.
The advanced obedience course enables you to establish proper control over your dog both on and off the leash. The off-leash portion of our course is extremely important since your dog doesn't live on his leash. Dogs that only learn to listen on the leash are really only half-trained. The act of you working with your dog as a team creates a lasting bond. It provides a foundation in which to correct and even prevent certain behavioral problems. The key to solving behavioral problems is an understanding of what motivates your dog to act inappropriately and knowing effective methods for eliminating these types of behaviors. When training is done with kindness and affection, it can frequently increase your dog's confidence.
